Battery, range and charging
The new M5 Ultra BEV RWD uses an 83 kWh LFP battery with a 602 km CLTC reference. EREV versions use a 42 kWh NMC battery: RWD is listed at 255 km electric and 1,440 km combined; AWD at 230 km electric and 1,275 km combined. Combined range includes petrol and is not battery-only driving distance.
CLTC figures are laboratory references, not guaranteed driving distance or WLTP figures. Temperature, speed, tyres, payload and climate control affect range. Charging time depends on the battery, charger, temperature and state of charge. Compare a named trim with its stated test conditions.
