FAQ
Importing cars from China: FAQs.
Practical answers about sourcing vehicles in China and planning your export order.
Vehicles & sourcing
Which brands and models can you source?
We source new and used vehicles sold in China across Chinese and international brands. The website is a starting point: send any model, version and quantity you need, even if it is not listed.
Are the featured vehicles in stock?
Most orders are sourced after your requirements are confirmed. The featured models show our recommended sourcing options. Ask us to check current vehicle availability, including any stock options, for your order.
What should I include in a used-vehicle enquiry?
Send the model, preferred year, mileage limit, condition requirements, quantity and destination. These details help us look for suitable vehicles and prepare a relevant sourcing proposal.
Can I request changes to a vehicle?
Tell us the changes you are considering, such as colour, wheels or accessories. We will discuss feasibility, cost and any effect on vehicle compliance before including them in your order.
How can I check specifications and reviews?
Start with the model information and reference links on our website, where provided. Tell us your preferred version so we can check the specification of the vehicle proposed for your order.
Orders & payment
How do I start an order?
Send your model, version, quantity and destination through an enquiry. We discuss a sourcing proposal and quotation, then agree the vehicle details, payment terms and export arrangements before procurement.
How are payment and deposits arranged?
Ask our team for the payment methods available for your order. Any deposit, payment stages and balance deadline are agreed in the quotation and contract before you make a payment.
Can dealers and wholesalers work with Yutai?
Yes. We work with overseas importers, wholesalers and dealers on single-model and mixed orders. Share your purchasing plan so we can discuss suitable sourcing and export arrangements.
Export & delivery
How long will procurement and export take?
Timing depends on the model, specification, quantity, vehicle sourcing and export preparation. Some orders require an extended lead time. We discuss estimated milestones with your sourcing proposal and confirm the agreed schedule before procurement.
Which port or transport route will my order use?
The proposed departure point and sea or land route depend on your destination and the vehicles being sourced. We discuss the route, shipping arrangements and responsibilities as part of your order.
Will I receive shipment updates?
Ask us to agree the updates you need before shipping. Available carrier information and key shipping milestones can be shared according to the transport arrangements for your order.
Which details are checked for my destination?
We discuss the exact vehicle specification and the export arrangements for your destination. For electric and hybrid vehicles, include your charging, language and after-sales support requirements so these can be checked for the proposed vehicle.
Support after shipment
What should I check about warranty and local support?
Before ordering, confirm the warranty terms applicable to the exact vehicle and destination, along with local servicing, parts and charging compatibility. Share your requirements so we can discuss these with your sourcing proposal.
What happens if a vehicle is damaged in transit?
Agree transport insurance and responsibility for damage before shipment. If damage occurs, keep delivery records and photographs, notify the responsible carrier or insurer promptly, and contact us for assistance with the available shipment documents.
